What Grade A means

Grade A is the only grade Dobatron sells. What we check on every laptop before it is listed, and what happens to a unit that fails.

Updated

Grade A is the only grade we sell. Every laptop is inspected before it is listed, and a unit that fails inspection is rejected, not listed at a lower grade.

What we check

  • Cosmetics: the body, lid, hinges and palm rest.
  • Battery health: how much charge the battery still holds compared with when it was new.
  • Screen: dead pixels, pressure marks and backlight.
  • Keyboard and touchpad: every key and the touchpad.
  • BIOS and password locks: no BIOS password and no company management lock, so the laptop is fully yours.

The exact pass criteria for each check, including the minimum battery health, are being finalised with our supplier and will be published on this page.

See the exact unit before you pay

Until then, and always after: ask us on WhatsApp for photos, a video and the battery report of the exact laptop you're interested in, then inspect it at pickup or delivery before you pay.
